Our kids grow too fast…

Our babies don’t grow quite as fast as they did each week from the day they were born, but each year before our eyes our children look more grown up. They are less like the little squishy babies they once were. Their personalities change so much. One year it’s all about baby shark and then all of a sudden, they don’t want kisses in front of their friends. These moments are fleeting. The more hugs, love and play you can give your children as they grow the better. This is what I love to capture in my family sessions.

Each family is unique. We all have our individual personalities and interests. Some kids just want to be held, whereas others love to run wild and splash in the lake. Family photos in the PNW should be just as adventurous as our beautiful landscape surroundings. Those who have done family sessions in the past their kids look forward to a fun adventure in the woods or mountains. So, plan for a beautiful engaging day to laugh and play with your loved ones.

This session is of one of my favorite clients. I have photographed Jude each year and his momma’s pregnancy! It is an incredible honor to get to watch my families grow. They know we come to play and have fun. It creates the best natural moments. My hope for every family is that they have the most stunning photos that you can feel the love and connection between each other. Someday Jude will be able to look back at these and remember how is Mom laughed, how his Dad played with him and how much he has been loved every day of his life.

My hope if for sessions like these are inspirational. Photos don’t have to be stuffy or stressful. No kid or parent should have to be stressed about smiling at the camera for long periods of time or have anxiety trying to make their kids behave. Throw out all your expectations of stress and come out to play in Washington State’s amazing back yard.
