Babies with all the HAIR!!!!
I see a lot of babies as a Seattle newborn photographer! All kinds of babies too, some have luscious locks of hair, some are bald, some have amazing long lashes, some have rolls for days but they all have one thing in common that they are cute and squishy!

For this post we are going to focus on the beautiful babies born with hair! It amazes me sometimes when a baby comes in for their newborn session with a full head of hair. Lately all the babies have had hair. I’m not sure if there is something in the water or just a coincidence. When a baby does come in with hair I like to ask if the mom had heart burn during her pregnancy. Most of the time the answer is no. That is an old wives tale that if you had heart burn it was because your baby was going to be born with hair.

I have 3 boys. My oldest son and my youngest son were both born with lots of hair. My middle son was born bald, and stayed bald with little sprouts of hair until he was almost 2! With all three of my pregnancies I never had heartburn so I personally and as a professional that sees lots of babies do not see a correlation between heartburn and a newborn with hair.

Are there old wives tales, advice or beliefs you were told during your pregnancy that turned out to be false? What about ones that were true?

If you don’t know me personally you know now from this post that I have 3 boys. I wanted a girl so bad each time! With my last baby I was certain it was a girl. I did the Chinese gender calendar and I was so excited it said we would be having a girl. Fast forward, 11 weeks into my pregnancy I did the blood test to reveal the gender and of course it was another boy! All those little tests and old wives tales are good fun in passing the time throughout your pregnancy. Don’t get too caught up into them because they can be way off. 9 months is a long time to get to meet your little one so of course you can spend a lot of that time dreaming and thinking about who and what they will be like.
